The TIN for individuals is called the “P number”
and is issued by the National Registration Office.
In case of a non Faroese resident individual who
is taxable to the Faroe Islands, the TIN is called
“Identification number”. The structure and
format of this Identification number is similar, but
not identical to the P number issued by the
National Registration Office
Format:
The TIN for individuals consists of 9 digits (format: 999999-999)
Entities :
The TIN for entities is called the “V number” and is issued by the Faroese Tax Administration.
Format:
The TIN for entities consists of consecutive digits.
