TIN is issued only for (individuals and entities) persons who perform business activities and who have an obligation to register at local tax office.
If an individual does not have a TIN then a unique birth identification number (“Rodné Cislo”) is used for tax purposes.

Format:

The TIN consists of 10 digits.
The unique birth identification number consists of 9 or 10 digits (format: 999999/999 or 999999/9999)..
