TIN Check Sweden (SE)
In Sweden, the Taxpayer Identification Number TIN is designated by Personal identity number and is for persons that have been registered in the Swedish population record. For persons that haven’t been registered in the Swedish population record the TIN is called Co-ordination number.
To validate a tax identification number from Sweden, the TIN must be placed on top of it, which must obey the following format:
For Individuals
The TIN from personal identity number may assume the following format:
• NNNNNN-NNNN (Total of 10 digits)
or
• NNNNNN+NNNN (Total of 10 digits)
The TIN from Co-ordination number assumes the following format:
• NNNNNN-NNNN (Total of 10 digits)
N identifies that it must be a numeric digit.
For Entities
The TIN number may assume the following format:
• NNNNNN-NNNN (Total of 10 digits)
N identifies that it must be a numeric digit.
