TIN Check Cabo Verde

NIF is an abbreviation of Tax Identification Number. In society in general, an individual identifies himself through his Identity Card.

In finance, an individual identifies himself, par excellence, through his taxpayer card.

The NIF comprises, in all cases, nine digits (XXX XXX XXX). The TIN of a natural person starts with the number “1”. Among the digits that make up your NIF is the number of your Identity Card number. The NIF of companies, on the other hand, starts with the number “2” and is completely random, apart from the control digits that are only of interest to finance.

In many situations, the expression “taxpayer number” is used instead of NIF. Its the same thing. For example, in Brazil, CPF- Cadastro de Pessoa Física and CNPJ- Cadastro Nacional de Pessoa Jurídica are used.
